Those stance SC5's must've slowed you down, great time nevertheless

I would say he did well considering most of the times I see around here are 14 or above (Not counting perfect East coast conditions). Also his 60 ft wasn't too bad. He lost to the lighter car with roughly equivalent power. 3400lbs M vs 3600lbs G. Stock quarter mile for the E46 M3 is supposed to be around 13.3-13.5. Our stock quarter mile from magazines seems to be around 14.1. Tenths of a second are ages in the quarter, so I'd say his mods payed off.

Many people are running high 13s basically stock as well including myself , I have brought my vert to the track many times , with just a ark exhaust and my best time was a 13.9 @ 100. Don't forget my vert is almost a few hundred pounds heavier than a regular coupe and I don't have the mods the op has. Another member on here had the same mods as the op and ran a 13.5 @ 104 https://www.myg37.com/forums/motorsp...ipl-1-4-a.html
So 13.7 to a 13.5 your right is a huge difference when it comes to a quarter mile race ,

I'm pretty confident in this weather I can pull off maybe a 13.8 with just an exhaust on my g37 , that's why I thought it was kinda disappointing seeing a coupe run a 13.7 with all the money he spend on his mods.

...and even more so over the Sedan. I had a friend who loaned me his 6MT Vert for a few days, and it was a noticeably heavy car to chuck around. So 13+ second runs are pretty impressive, IMO.

Seriously, any DD that can consistently run under 14 seconds is a fast car. Well done.

gonna have to agree, while it wasn't what i was expecting based on your mods, it is still a good time that you ran. i also cannot truely compare your time to mine as we live in totally different areas which could be like comparing apples to oranges. with just my takeda intake, i was able to run a 13.8 at 103 with a 2.14 60'. granted the weather conditions were absolutely perfect (it was 65 degrees, random fluke night in orlando but turned out to be perfect conditions for the track). went back after putting the exhaust, cats, tune, and new tires on and my best run that night was a 14.1 (it was 99 degrees out and later found out my master and slave cylinder went and every time i launched my car bogged no matter what). now im jsut waiting for the weather to officially cool down here in orlando before i head back and see what i can do now

I'm by no means the best dragger. I had one run with a better 60ft but missed 2nd. But even if I hit it that M3 just slowly walks away on the top end.

What trans do you guys have and what gear are you crossing the line at

i used to take my g to the track also, i went to buttonwillow for the first time, my car was completely stock and on stock wheels and tires, the best time i did was 2:14... and that was with someone sitting shotgun... hahah now that i have the m, i still havent had the chance to take my car to the track but when i do, hopefully i can run better then my g, since i replaced my suspension, wheels and tires...

Launch 3k-3500 rpm

Part that sucks is I run out of gear near the end of the track and have to shift to 4th that burns time.
