Took the G to Hallett Motor Racing Circuit
Well I finally took the G out to a real race track yesterday. I went to Hallett Motor Racing Circuit about an hour and a half away from my house. The event I did is called the Hight Speed Touring Series. They have them about once a month and its just a way for people to get a chance to drive their cars on a real race track. Since it was my first time I spent the early part of the morning in a drivers ed class learning all the different parts of the track and what all the different flags are and what the good line to take is and everything. One of the biggest things about this was that it is NOT racing. Everyone runs at their own comfortable pace and passing was only allowed on straight aways. The HST event was divided up into 2 groups. The first was the more advanced/faster drivers who have done this for a long time. The second was for first timers and people still getting the hang of things. Since it was my first time I was in group B. Now time for some PICS
Here are a few aerial shots of the track.

Here are the pics I got from the photographer out there. He did an AMAZING job. He had a big cherry picker that he set up at some turns to get the pics right above the cars.

Ivoid I changed the fluid out the day before with some fresh Motul RBF600. I'd say that and the stainless steel lines are the biggest factor. Last summer I could barely make it a couple laps at the local autocross with the stock setup without getting fade.
Sounds good!
I believe Hawk HPS pads are even better on the track than the ceramic ones with the HP+ being the best in terms of bite.
So far I'm running stock rotors and pads with SS lines (I think stock Akebono pads are ceramic?) and need more initial bite. Gonna replace the pads and rotors and change the brake fluid as well.

Yeah I mainly just got the ceramics for the low dust and noise during street use. After going out there I think next time I will buy a set of HP+ to have as just a set of track pads. Then I can just swap them out when I get there.
Heres a couple super slow mo videos the photographer took.

Later in the day there was some very minimal limp mode from heat. It was cutting my revs to like 6750 or so in the straights. Haveing upgraded brakes helps though since you can minimize the high rev downshifts in turns.
No oil cooler yet. I'm considering getting one in the future though. I'm just worried about blowing a hose though
