Where's the limiter??
and to the OP there i no gas cut its only limiting your speed from exceeding pre set factory numbers which happens to be around 156
i'm calling u out son. lol. that's impossible, the car is limited to 142 and you can't pass it. trust me i've pegged my limiter and held it there for 2 minutes straight and it stopped climbing at 142 mph. the 6mt though can hit 160 easily.
By the replies in this forum i think i was blessed to get one of/if not the fastest top end factory g's!
Mine is an 08' Fully Loaded G37s 6MT and sinks that needle anytime i want... since it's really impossible to say for certain i will just give ballpark (167-170mph) and take a pic next time i'm out on a freshly paved vacant strip of highway!

my 5AT maxed out at 143.. i held there for a good 10 seconds (that was probably the longest 10 seconds of my life) and it won't go any higher, so I released the gas pedal and gave up. Only did this once.. and I don't think I'll ever do it again unless on a track. Too much risk to take..

I remember your frustration at hitting your governer on our way home
You going to be tracking again this year? Our spirited drives should be starting soon as well.
I think this is the determining factor here. Mine tops at 142ish limiter in 5th gear. I think the reason there are different speeds is just that it is programmed to kick in at the begining of the last gear. That would explain why the 6mt guys are getting higher speeds than the 5at guys. The limiter stops at the same spot in the rpms it just depends what transmission you have. Thats just my theory on it.
Ya for sure...I'm upgrading my brakes a bit...my rears are shot but just had my fronts done (stoptech + project mu's). I put a couple GT spec braces on too...I'm definately down for some runs and some track days in about three weeks.
