No mods, Mike - I wanted to drive "showroom" for a few weekends to get a "baseline" feel for the car; and it looks like I have done just that ...

Without looking for a quick fix, is there anything immediate that comes to mind that I may want to consider?

Just take it up to 'top speed' in a controlled environment... see what your limiter is... If you have a 125 limiter, that'll be one I've never seen before.
