What has my car run in perfect weather? 14.32@98mph with a 2.13 60' stock. That was in 200' air. Those are the best conditions I've run in.
I've NEVER said the G37 isn't capable of 13s. It's quite obvious it is a 13 second car, even in relatively normal conditions. Like I said in my first post, your run are entirely believable and the track (Maryland is a quick strip) and conditions played a huge roll. You live in a good area for racing. The conditions, the elevation, and the tracks are all great. Take advantage of it.
Is this fast or average? What are the requirements to go to a race track?
it's a nice run and that track is known to give some good numbers.
you can rent a helmet at the track so just bring your car and don't have a lot of excess weight in the car.... and make sure yo9u don't bring a full tank of gas.
Can anybody explain how the toyota was given the win light when I did a 13.32 and he did a 13.46?
Since it was not an official race, its redlight did not disqualify it. Therefore, due to its huge jump at the line, almost .35 seconds, the Toyota crossed the finish first and triggered the win light. In any real competition round the redlight would've disqualified it.
In essence the other driver beat you on reaction time. Your .34 light plus your opponent's -.029 light equates a .36 second advantage to the Toyota. 13.46 minus .36 reaction time is same as if you left at the same time and the Toyota ran a 13.1.
