^^ Umm no, He is a great driver, however conditions play a HUGE roll. Just because he was able to manage those times & speeds at his track DOES NOT MEAN any of us EVER will at the tracks local to us. That still doesn't mean he isn't a GREAT driver!
Although it was cooler when i ran the 13.5 at the bad track. My 13.3 and 12.9 runs were about as cool weather you want, and on a fast track
I'm in PA
my trap doesnt add up? 108 mph is about 100% dead nuts on for a 3600lb car to run high 12's with a peaky torque curve
Mickey Thompson ET Drag Radials are amazing, just about as good as the ET street, but suck to drive on.

track prep and conditions has a lot to do with it no doubt. But if its any consolation I did run a bone stock 13.51 at a horrible track with bad prep and a higher elevation 2 weeks ago. Where I did a 13.48 at my usual good prepped track.

I wasn't trying to insult you or talk down your skills. I thought that Choy Boy was being sarcastic so I was trying to help explain the times to him is all. I obviously understand that 13.3 on a G37S is VERY difficult to pull off, even on a fast track. Your 60' times are VERY impressive.

Believe me, I've been drag racing for many years, conditions and prep make all of the difference, I agree 100%.I fully understand theres no way in hell this stock G37S is gonna go 13.3 bone stock in say June or July
you can daily drive drag radials... Just dont drive in rain. The only DR that does "ok" in rain is the Nitto... its semi decent DR, but not the best at the track

I know cars that trap 108mph are good for high 12's, but a car that weigh 3700+lbs(with driver) and trap 108mph mean you have some were between 320whp-350whp depend on the temp. If you also use one of those rule thumb formula of 1350/trap=ET, then 1350/108.4= 12.45ET. This mean A car that trap 108.48 has a potential of hitting 12.45 ET. You already have a 1.69 60' so how much more can you squeeze to get to 12.45? Also if you do a 1350/ET=Trap then a 12.92ET with somewhere 1.6-1.75 60' mean you should trap around 104mph-105MPH. I know you are good driver but there are also many good driver in my350z and the only guys that can get 1.6x 60 are all running 400whp+++. The lowest NA 60' was 1.70 and was done by AudibleMayhem with a built motor and a much lighter 350z and stripped car.
You know you'll get some doubters like me.. lol and that is why I'm just asking some question
I just dont want people to assume that this are normal times and can be done at any track. One day I'll drive to PA and maybe you can give me some pointers or maybe try your track and see how I'll do
Can you post the slip so I can see how many MPH you are picking up on the last half of the race? Good track prep only help on the first half of the race but 1/4 trap is all 4th gear. I'm just amazed you are trapping 108mph..
Look at the overall list and these are very powerful car and half of them has a 60' of above 1.70 and NON are NA!!!! If you know some of the names then you'll know there are some real drag racer on that list..

So what was your trap on the bad track?

you cant really use trap speed as an indication of HP. Gearing and 60' have a lot to do with it as well. Also DA (density altitude) plays a huge factor. Due to the weather, humidity etc the day of my Race, my 1130' above sea level track turned into a 45' above sea level track. That right there is a bigger factor. Can you explain to me why 400hp (350whp) Corvettes only run high 13's at Famoso Raceway (+5000 DA average)? But the same car when running down Atco Raceway will click off a high 11, with a -400 DA? Density altitude makes the difference
To answer your question, my trap speed when i ran a 13.5 at the bad track was a 104.
As far as needing 400whp to get 1.69 (1.7) 60' is completely false. It's all in the ability to slip out the clutch with enough gas.
Your list above shows me, a good number of those guys need a lesson in launching. 1.8 60' times on slicks for some of those cars? Thats pathetic.
IF you want to be really nit picky and convert my 12.92 into an SAE time, it would come out to be 13.26 @ 105.7, that i would run under the "standard conditions". Although unfortunately for the naysayers this particular run was done in spectacular conditions.
