well a DR is just an R compound DOT tire, it's not a drag slick like you're thinking of. Here is the tread pattern of the model I had used. Looks like a regular tire, unless you look at the fat tread blocks/contact patches.

In the world of race tires, this is how it goes for most aggressive grip:

Street Tire > Drag Radial > Half Slick > Full Slick

I'm very much a skeptic on seer's times. I want to believe, but come on. You can bring up all this scientific mumbo jumbo, but are you a professional driver? All the test of our car WITH professional drivers are almost 1/2 a second slower then you get. I havn't seen the slips of your miracle runs, only a slower 13.48. I can't wrap my head around the fact that a man that isn't a professional, just a hobbiest, can shave almost 1/2 a second in the 1/4 mile over professionals, and you quote the track as the main advantage. I'm just not buying it.. I want video of these miracle runs, before I put you on a pedostal!

AZ - Why the hatorade? lol just kidding. dude you have more performance mods than most of us on this site. You should be glad he is doing that in stock form. If he was driving your car, I can't imagine the times he would be putting down. Then again, yours is auto.

your "pro drivers" arent pros, theyre writers, running cars on unprepped tracks/airstrips... it is extremely common to break magazine times, and happens with every vehicle commonly. Best current example, motortrend could only muster a 11.3 out of the new ZR-1, when it has been recorded more than 4x already with different drivers, stock 10.8s.

The 2003 Cobra, ran by a "pro" driver, could only muster a 12.8, again the norm was 12.4. The new Pontiac GTO, rated at 13.8, has run a best of 12.8 bone stock, a full second faster than your pro magazine drivers.

The base model 2008 C6 vette, motortrend ran a 12.6, its been recorded to run 11.8. Should I continue proving you wrong about your pro magazine drivers?

Putting faith into magazine times shows a lot about your credibility, in this arena

Calling the affects of density altitude, scientific mumbo jumbo just shows your pure inexperience in performance automobile racing, sorry to attack you, but you needed a reality check.

I dont want to be put on a pedestool, I just want you to realize magazine times arent credible by any means. It's a proven fact the higher advertising contributors get the best reviews.
