HKS Catback only =loss power?
HKS Catback only =loss power?
Hey guys,
So I had my HKS cat back installed and I didn't notice any gains. At the track I actually lost to my friend's e46 m3 on a straight by a car length when we used to be dead even everytime. Multiple runs on the straight, same results. On the butt dyno I didn't feel any gains after the cbe.
Is my car running too lean now? I hear this happens with just cai but didn't know that happens with cbe. I have no other power mods.
Could it be a ad install? I hear a high pitch almost high frequency sound when I idle, maybe a leak?

Wasnt it already said that catbacks in our cars at best give 2-3 hp, and they are mostly aesthetics + sound. It's the cats that hold up roughly 9rwhp as some have dyno already.
Headers swap was also quite low under ~10rwhp. Then tune is a must.
Majority of bolt ons were not very significant unless you added SC or dual snails on top of it.
Correct me someone please.
