Front Spring / Shock Bushings

When I lowered my FX, it was recommended to replace the top shock mount bushing because they are notorious to wear out on the FX on lowered or non lowered springs.

I have read around the spring installs for the G and haven't seen anything about replacing the bushing. Have you all just used the same one? Not a big investment to get new ones (roughly $20-30/ea) but I plan on lowering this weekend and wouldn't get them in time.

For context, I have an 09 G37s Sedan 6MT with 54K miles on it.

You'll be OK as long as your careful w/ them when removing the shock. If it's torn then I'd replace but should be OK otherwise, and they're one of the biggest rip-offs for an OEM piece of fancy fiber-paper.

I was looking at a diagram as well. The particular bushing on the FX does not look like it is part of the G UNLESS it is built into the upper strut mount.

Thanks for the input.
