If you running it w/o a thermostat, guess I'm in for that too XD. Weather around here is almost as same as yours Sam.

Good to hear that. This means that I'm gonna keep reasearching and get the best stuff there is..I hope

As for dragging & tracking, I will try to do that though Street dragging is very addictive IMO lol.

Thanks a lot BB.
Go for z1 oil cooler, it comes with everything you need.
Wud suggest 25 row for engine and 19 for tranny.
Pick Setrab core.

Z1 coolers retain OEM oil filter which is a plus.
Z1 Motorsports 370Z/G37 Oil Cooler Kit

^ link for z1 engine oil cooler only, as for tranny's u wud have to e mail them direct as it's not listed in the website.

Actually this one was on top of my list compared to other coolers. And now you recommended it, guess I'll go for it.

But as for my tranny, it's a manual ranny. Do I still need a cooler for it?

No, transmission coolers are for autos. They would not work and are not needed for manuals.

^ yup .. Autos have TQ which operates by fluid coupling, so the more the fluid is fresh and is in mild temp, the more the TQ workes well.

Thank you guys..

I'm settled with two options now.. Stillen (Stillen core) and Z1.
But I read that the Stillen cooler kit needs some other type of oil filter "FRAM" to be able to fit on the plate adapter they provide. I would get the Stillen one cuz the lower price than the Z1 and the Free Shipping they offer << This matters to me as I need to ship it to a forwarding company then to me. So free domestic shipping gonna save me some money to be put in the international shipping.

The problem is that I don't want the plate adapter Stillen provides with the kit cuz it's hard to find those types of filters to fit their adapter around here.

I emailed them if they can replace it with MOCAL or any other regular size one.

As for Z1, it's a pit pricy when you add 25 row + Setrab core + thermostat. the price will be $523... ! compared to $365 for the 25Row Stillen core. <<The only problem for me is the plate adapter. Hope they reply with a good solution.

Thanks

^ i think you're a bit confused ..
Core means the cooler brand's itself , Both stillen and z1 use setrab cores ( Mocal is a standard option with z1 only).

Z1 setrab 25 row cooler, non-thermostatic option ( which i recommend for u ) will cost you $ 483 ( you don't need an after market thermostat too ).

However, if you want stillen cooler ( which they use setrab core) with a bigger sandwitch adapter, hence bigger oil filter .. shouldn't be a problem! but you don't have to use their Fram filter ( which they provide in the kit ) , in fact DON'T bolt that junk in your engine! Instead you can order a bunch of Purolator Pureone PL10193 or L10193 oil filters, these are an alternative for the Fram's ( PH3950 ) filter that u get in the box , also Wix 51381 gonna work with your Stillen's.

Good luck ..

Here is the Stillen kit with the "Stillen brand core" that I mentioned: STILLEN Gold Series Oil Cooler Kit - Performance 400643 | STILLEN

And here is also a Stillen kit with "Setrab core" : STILLEN SETRAB Oil Cooler Kit - Race 400638 | STILLEN

Maybe it's a new kit they put up together recently that you and lots of ppl may not aware of. Cuz I tried to find a single review about it but I ended up with nothing.

No it's not a new kit, it's been there for a while .. i doubt that if even someone went to that core ( Designed by Stillen lol ) .. why wud u consider that over setrab's ?! price ?!! you shouldn't compromise that for quality.. ! if you wanna do it, do it right from the beginning

What got me thinking about getting this is that I have a good background on Stillen based on the reviews from ppl almost on all their products. So that led me to consider getting this kit with also considering a difference of almost $120 compared to Z1 25 Row w/o thermostat + Setrab core. I also can't deny that price is always a factor..But quality of course comes first.

So that being said, Z1 is the one~!
