So, how about a solid recommendation for a retail grounding wire kit? Not everyone (i.e. me) is interested in making their own.

If I knew of any that were well made from quality materials and specific to this application, I wouldn't have ever started making them. I'd have just bought it and been done with it.

Im late to the party but Im wondering if BB would want to sell any of us the info of his exact specs (lengths, terminal brand, marine grade or standard heat shrink, and wire brand) and sources for the DIYers like me (I dont expect anyone to spend their time doing anything for free, nobody has time for that). he was already gracious enough to post the installation manual on the forum, lol.

He wouldn't divulge specifics. He aways has to keep future options open. And materials have varied over time. You might PM him to see if he has any info at all that might help you

+1 on making your own kit. Just use quality materials and there's not major difference between yours and BB or Stillen.

- improves shift lag in 5AT and 7AT
- improves audio quality

Are the 2 improvements I know of with grounding kits. If there's more please share

I had the HKS earth kit on my WRX back in 02-03. It was a quality kit but way overpriced. Consider it only if you're car is a show piece in need of authentic parts.

I'm in the process of making my own kit. All I need is some good ring terminals to get started today.
