New (almost) G37 sedan owner; need modding advice
Hello everyone. Going to pick up the 2009 G37x with premium and nav and non-sport bumper on Monday. Got it in blue slate and haven't really seen it outside yet. I have been lurking around here the past week and have read a lot of interesting stuff. Great forum from what I have seen. I do have some ideas in mind. Any advice, criticism, offer, idea, etc... is welcome. Here is a short list of mods probably in that order:
1. tint 30%
2. t-rex black mesh grill
3. injen CAI
4. black 17in rims at some point
5. front lip at some point
6. bulbs

welcome and congrats..
in terms of grille's there's a couple new ones coming out pretty soon so you might want to wait on that
17s look VERY small on the G, i would go at least 19s if you can afford it...
Injen CAI is awesome
if you're looking for a slight drop without ride quality suffering then I'd recommend Eibach springs

Thanks. I don't want to drop the car. As far as grills, I wasn't going to wait, I am set on a black mesh, but maybe I will. The reason I am getting 17in wheels is because I already have the tires from the stock rims the car comes with. I don't have much money. I was thinking maybe I could get an axle-back exhaust but they don't have many for the sedan. The most I would pay for the exhaust would be $600 so that's a bit of a problem as well. Any other thoughts or advice?
I was really set on the 17's because of the tires... I cannot afford new tires and new rims. I had 18's on my previous car and they were okay. Is it possible to get 18 or 19in rims on 17in tires? ( I don't think so). The CAI I want only because of the noise. I would get an axle-back exhaust it were roughly the same price as the CAI. I don't want to drop, my drive way is at a slant, a lot of potholes... it would be a hassle. Again thanks for the comments, the more the better.

Nice, congrats. My first purchase is the t-rex black mesh grill which I am going to order tomorrow. Should have pics later next week. I want an exhaust but I cant find one for $500 or a injen CAI.
Yea, I think I will leave the rims as is, thanks to everyone's comments. They do make the grill, I just called to find out and place my order. Is there an exhaust for the sedan?
tires for 19's are really expensive. 18's and 20's are much cheaper. 19 is not a high-production size, hence the higher price. I think 18's look just fine on the sedan, 20's are almost too big for the coupe imo. My last car had 245 40r 19's and good tires were outrageous - 275 to 350 per tire. I'm happy to be back at 17's, but I will probably upgrade to G35 / 37 staggered 18's, although I hate to go to a set where I can't rotate. Tires are not cheap, and are imo the most important 'mod' to a car you can do - what you slap on really affects the ride/handling so much that buying the best tires you possibly can is a must, and 19's make that an expensive, continual proposition. Just an opinion.

1. Do a K&N drop in filter and skip the intake.
2. Look for used stillen exhaust for $600-$700
3. definitely upgrade wheels, 5 Axis wheels are inexpensive, 19" or 20"
4. Eibach pro springs
