My First Mod (Jap Option Fujitsubo Exhaust)
Hey all,
I'm a newb in modding cars, and need help of the following Q. Thanks in advance.
I've waited a year before I got my first mod on the car. Last weekend, I put in the Japanese Option Fujitsubo Exhaust. The sound is nice but it's just not loud enough. What should I do next?
Should I get the mid pipe or Y-pipe? (dunno what's it's actually called)
If so, what should I get?
Should I get intake? (stillen 3rd gen seems to be the love for most members here)
Should I get Berks Catback?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

Ya, Ill do my best to post the sound clip on the weekend.
I heard from a friend that if I put on the Y pipe + HFC, I will lose some torque at low RPM but higher HP at high RPM. What do you guys think?

isn't the fujitsubo a full catback? i don't think you should change the y-pipe if the system already came with one... they did lots of R&D to make the exhaust... might not be a good idea to change the y pipe... definitely get the HFC, from what i read here on the forum that is the MUST HAVE mod... search and you will be enlightened

The Fujitsubo I got is only the muffler. It's a Nissan option in Japan. So i still have the stock header + catback + Y pipe + mid pipe.
I heard that when you put on HFC, sometimes the engine warning light comes on and it's a pain in the ***.

I wanted to get the OEM Fuji option, you lucky bastart How much did you get it for, when I looked I think it was like 1,200$ for the axle back.

I only got the muffler not the Y pipe. The option is only for the muffler and the Y pipe was not an option in Japan.
I got it for approx. USD-600.
I think only Jap has this option.

Actually when you mix mufflers and X,Y or H pipes from different manufacturers you may end losing torque not only at low RPM but the entire band. The reason: the point where the two sides of the exhaust air get mixed (X,Y,H pipes sections) are designed based on the exhaust air velocity considering the restriction the muffler section do. So go with full cat back systems unless the optional X,Y,H sections are designed for your specific application. From personal experience with Borla, they have fit my CB system tree times with different H pipes to get to the sweet spot. And yes the HFC will make your exhaust louder.

JDM option only, if they had this in the US I'm sure they would sell like crazy!
Thats a very good price!
The OEM Fuji is just an axle back. A Ichiba Y pipe, and FI High-flow cats would probably give it the growl you want.
