basically
im trying to get new exhaust system for my g37
but unfortunately
Im realllllyyyy stupid about after market stuff....
I need some opinions on what exhaust i should get.
I want good exotic souning but not too loud

I was looking at tanabe and greddy
but people were sayig how tanabe u pay 900 dollars for 2 mufflers
I rlly dont get how some exhaust systems like tanbe ones are just mufflers and when u buy stillen its like the whole exhaust system.???
im reallly clueless somebody plz help me??

 

you get what you pay for also look around for sound clips thats a big reason on why people choose a certain one over another also looks for looks and price for price just look around to what you like the best for the price and for the style as well. the biggest gains however goes to BORLA exhaust if you want gains go with that sound or style i would go tanabe over greddy hate those greddy tips personally.
also sound is a big issue to certain people so look around for that. just search its not to hard

 

and also
if i get tanabe touring meddallion exhausts but nothing else
would the exahust sound get alot louder? and sound like the ones on the forum or do they all have like other stuff like headers and stuff

 

tanabe is much deeper but not louder... homeless how come FI doesnt get no love? oh BTW did i mention you should go with FAST INTENTIONS!

 

You are going to get several answers to this question. Right now its FI, Tanube, Borla and Greddy. Everyone seems to be happy with their choice. I of course went with HKS and so far I am very happy. No dyno quite yet but feels like I am getting more power.

 

so if i get greddy TI-C
without any other midpipe or other headers or anything
is it stilll gonna get much louder than stock exhausts?

 

Go with Borla ... Its great... and has way more dyno proven power than any other exhaust out at the moment...

 

The Greddy is wayyy LOUDER and deeper than stock. The Greddy already has a mid-pipe already. If you get this system, you really won't need anything else to make it louder, but if you want to, you can get High Flow Cats or Test Pipes.

you know that G37 has a very efficient exhaust from the factory. The gains from exhaust only will be minimal or not as high as test pipes/HFC + exhaust. However, from what you have written above it seems like you dont care about the HP gains as much as the sound and exotic look. In that case I would recommend you to look at greddy evo II. I personally have APS (on a 07 350z) and it sounds like my stock exhaust was amplified with couple of decibels.

 

if you are planning on staying N/A TI - C is way too big. It has diameter of 2.75".

 

personally i LOVE tha sound of the Medalion touring frm tanabe nd it looks perfect on the G37....heres a clip with the sound
