The Official "Recommended Shop" Thread
The purpose of this thread is simple. Just recommend good shops/garages/guys to install our mods in our respective areas.
The criteria of a good shop is simple & old fashioned:
Just list the:
I hope we can have a few good shops in each metropolitan area. I know that folks like me in Detroit where import tuning is not as big as say in Cali/Florida/Chicago can especially benefit from a thread like this.
Few Suggestions:
NO post whoring here please. Only leave a post with the information in the 2nd bulleted list and a shop that meets the criteria at the top bulleted list.
Please don't argue or ramble on what shop is better. Let's just have posts that are informational.
The criteria of a good shop is simple & old fashioned:
- Fair prices
- No trickery/cheating/hustling
- Good attention to detail
- Does not give car back with any new scratches/blemishes, takes care of car as if it was their own
Just list the:
- SHOP
- CONTACT INFORMATION
- LOCATION
- SPECIALIZATION (N/A mod installs, aesthetics, FI, Suspension, all of above, etc)
- BRIEF, OBJECTIVE REVIEW ON EXPERIENCE & SERVICE RENDERED

- I've used Forged only for springs however I am in the process of ordering some Volks and will have them installed there as well. Forged is very professional, extremely knowledgeable, take care of your ride, and ultimately... they aren't happy unless you are. That's my experience at least.

- Been there a couple of times, these guy's really know their stuff! They are super nice, and offer one year warranty with ANY product. I got all my stuff from there, and they have been extremely helpfull. They constantly update me about my order status, etc. VERY PROFESSIONAL, and have extreme knowledge in the world of motoring.
- Tell them Emil with the G37 sent you, and they will take REAL good care of you.

NY/NJ well AAM is not that far away depnds on where you live...they are in maryland... they are an awesome shop... talk to clint... 301-330-8835

tampa bay area..hmm i think performance fatory will be your best bet(orlando)... i have heard good things about them and i know they have gotten some parts from AAM...

I want an experienced, foreign car friendly shop in Metro Detroit
The thing is I'm a newb to car tuning here in the Detroit area and since the Injen requires front bumper removal I want to take it to a good detail oriented shop for the install. Even a shop that lets me watch the install would be cool. Anyone else in the Detroit area plan on getting the Injen? What shop might you consider?
