Why do we mod our G37's?

What drives us to mod our cars? Is it the need to personalize the vehicle so it doesn't look like every other G37 out there? Is it the pursuit of better performance? Why can't we leave well enough alone...why why?

For me it's not the individuality thing. I want performance. I want style. I want to fix the stuff that Infiniti/Nissan overlooked, didn't want to spend the money on, or just missed the mark on.

And because I like to fight with my wife on justification for why I want to spend thousands of dollars on a brand new car I just spent over $40K on. That's not easy to justify!

Do you mean in general or are you talking about certain peoples' tastes in mods?
