I work at Best Buy Friday night but I could be up there closer to 1030 or 1045, but I don't see ppl staying out much later than that if they are still out that late at all.

Any of the second gen 6mt guys ever think about doing the DIY 'clutch spring mod' where you remove that spring?

Lately i'v been getting pissed at my car because the damn clutch is so springy that I feel like some newb learning to drive 6MT.

Apparently when you do this, it makes the feel completely different and much more natural. I'v been getting so tempted to try it but just wondered if anyone else has contemplated it?

Also my 20s are packed up and getting shipped out tomorrow. Just kinda relieved to have them gone lol.

I never have problems driving mine, going on almost 4 years with my coupe and sedan lol. But the spring idea is very interesting given the "linear" feeling that everyone is mentioning. We might have to make an afternoon of it since it takes literally seconds to do LOL! Maybe even Saturday the 5th we could do it at Lances or something like that.....

I'd be down. My car is jumpy as hell. Takes real thought to get it to take off smoothly lol. Gotta time everything perfectly.

I do alright out of 1st but it would be nice to be a bit easier or have a better feel to it. Otherwise I'm happy with how it feels. I haven't had any issues with shifting yet, just a bit tough to start with but otherwise good. No different then doing calf presses at the gym

Lets do it man, def wanna see you before you head out. Just name the time and place Friday night and I'll be there. Lindsey is going out of town Friday and Saturday so she won't be able to make it with.

werd! Sunday was a pretty accomplished day, which was needed after the last week of RAIN. Glad you got all that ish taken care of. Check those leaks...if they're still doing it, we'll just get some sealant and put it around those tubes.

THIS^^^ is something I've been contemplating for a while now. 2nd gear especially SUCKSSSSSS. Its a very common complaint of the 2nd Gen G owner.
In the sedan, do they actually take a spring out all together? In the coupe, there's been a revised spring that came out that they did a group buy on. I didn't want to do it because I wanted some time w/ feedback to see how it holds up.

Did the clutch spring mod and holy difference batman. Car drives completely different. Whole new feel. Gonna take a little getting used to, but I love being able to make smooth shifts.

Dang Janik, that really was quick. I see its really only removing two clips and pins. Pretty simple mod.

I'll try and remember to put something together on FB tonight when I get home from the second job. The location is really a non factor for me, I'm willing to go anywhere or any area. Any thoughts or concerns from anybody?
