Sport Bumper....

I installed my sport bumper last weekend and I am very happy with the new look. I refuse to drill holes in my new bumper so I will be fabbing a plate holder this weekend similar to the others that mount in place of the tow hook. I will try to get some before and after pics up soon.

Total for the non-sport to sport:
Bumper from Luther: $342 (cheapest I could find because shipping is so expensive)
Painted by Wayne's in Hastings: $330
Plate mount: $20 +/-
Listening to my wife tell me she doesn't see any difference.......priceless.

BT Aero does make a lip for the non-sport as well. Depending on what you are trying to accomplish, that might be an option.

i just called luther and they're saying the bumper is over 2k? i was like wha?? all i asked was how much to order a sport bumper for an 08 sedan...i'll probably talk to them on may 5th when we're actually there, because that quote isn't right at all..i have no idea what that guy is thinking.

anyway, i'll probably just get the sport bumper, if i can get the right price, then order the BT aero lip...i definitely like that look a lot more than what i have now!

thanks for the help!

Look what I found! Glad to see the M's are getting some love too As if there isn't enough reason to get one...minus the price of them to start with plus JDM. But sweet looking indeed!

Yikes!!

Dawn,
Unless there is some significant difference between an 08 and my 09, something is very wrong. I worked with Karen; she is the Parts Manager. I would suggest calling her 952-885-7053.

Lance turned me on to Wayne's in Hastings. I am the fussiest guy you will ever meet and I think they did a great job! Wayne's prices and his turnaround time are also very good, less than a week. Here is the number 651-437-7888.

I can attest to RJ's car after doing the interior. His exterior is the only black car i'v EVER seen that I haven't touched, that looks like a mirror with barely a hint of a single swirl in sight even in direct sunlight. Man knows his sh**!

Nope, from the outside you can't even tell that its not a whole solid bumper. When I tell people my front is an oem front w/ a molded poly lip, they have step back, take a look again, and respond..."are you serious?"

The bodywork was done by ONEighty, and done the right way. To mold poly, you have to use a heated fuser & rivots. The reason for this is because Poly shrinks and expands due to the temperature, and if it does this more or less then the OEM, the bond will crack and break down.

Also, the "paint color" how you're mentioning, should honest make no different either. There's a primer that's mean for polyurithane that is a little more costly, but definitely worth it to get the proper color.

NICE!! Glad he was able to get you in. I spoke with him when I dropped my car off to have my trunklid done and he mentioned you had called.

He definitely takes pride in his work!

I won't have the M35 tonight, the driver side keyless lock/unlock button on the outside of the door wore out so they had to order a new one. Will be done tmrw sometime if the part arrives in the morning
