Western Suburbs G37S Sedans?

I was rolling up 83 N (Western Suburbs of Chicago) today and spotted a black G37s Sedan, a unicorn in these parts especially in the winter months. Was that anyone on here? Are there any other 6spd sedan rolling in the western suburbs?

Why do you think that S was a 6MT? Did you get to look inside at the shifter?

The key tell was the brakes, I think only 6MT G37s Sedans for the akebono brakes, right? I could be wrong, I see you're rolling with a G37s AT Sedan, do you have them?

The Akebonos come on all S coupes and sedans regardless of transmission. You will have to look inside at the shifter or clutch pedal to know.

Well damn, I learned something today. I totally thought it was only the 6spds, none the less awesome to see an RWD sedan up here in Chicago.

A car rolling back on a slight incline at the light is a pretty good indication it's a manual too.

I'm sure there's quite a few 6mt's (both coupe and sedan) in the area, just not very common because few dealerships actually stocked them.

When I bought my G in 2011, I wanted a manual. I insisted upon a new white sedan. There was only one new sedan 6mt in the system for the entire southern half of the country, and it was black. Dealer estimated three months to get the car in if I ordered one. So, I accepted the 7AT and have since regretted the choice.

I feel that. I bought an 07 G35s 6spd Sedan back in 2010 when I lived in ATL, moved up to Chicago and wanted to upgrade to the 37. I searched the entire country and ended up finding a MINT one in just south of San Fran. With luck, I was out there for work, took a look, figured my odds were slim so I bought it and shipped it to Chicago. People think, I'm crazy but I love the car.

Jsolo, where are you located in the Chicago area? I'm in the western suburbs in Westmont.
