As you may know our car utilizes a Drive By Wire throttle. The throttle plate only opens a 70% when the gas pedal is floored not your usual 100%. I'm sure you've noticed the slight delay when you floored it.

According to the throttle tables, when you're pedal position is on 86% you're throttle plate is only opening at 52%. I'm not sure if there is a good reason why nissan did this.

^ Overheating issues => Limp mode?

More fuel burnt = more heat released

Well, I didn't change the WOT I left it at 70% but I did increase the throttle response to 2% across the rpm range. I guess it's similar to having a throttle controller.

I would love to try and open it up to at least 90% especially with upgraded intakes those should make quite a decent difference.

Same here but I wouldn't go that far yet. I'm debating about bumping it up to 75%. I need to talk to a tuner that have an idea on how our VQ and VVEL works. I want to know if it's ok to put more air in since I know I'm running a bit rich.

My car needs to be serviced soon. Maybe I can try it out on the loaner car and see how it goes, hmmm...

Is this throttle limiter adjustable via the Cobb AP? Do all cars have such a limiter? Also, is this limit only present at certain speeds or gears? (such as flooring it at 70mph vs. a stand still)

yes its adjustable with the cobb ap, yes all modern cars have this limiter, pretty much anything that is drive by wire has these limitations, some way worse than others, all for safety and emissions reasons. the G is programmed to only allow 25% throttle until after 3k rpms, so that if your slowly rolling you dont spin out of control. all the limitations on the car are to make it very driver friendly so your grandma doesnt spin out into a tree. this causes a very unresponsive car when we are trying to push the ***** out of it.

the throttle tables are pretty ****ty to begin with, at %56 percent foot throttle the butterfly are only open like 20% ..its pretty bad. BUT the full throttle limit is %87 and thats because the difference between 80-100% throttle is 1% power difference, but keeping the throttle slightly closed causes better atomization and emissions.

I've built a few 800hp+ motors before, na and FI. FI obviously you want to go way richer.
yes! glad someone else here knows their sh*t!

Really??? That's why the G feels so sluggish! I guess that's what makes the Z "feel" faster

Congrats. Really impressive numbers on a dyno dynamics with only a few mods. If you car was to weigh as low as a 370z it could run 12s in the 1/4.
