Exhaust leak after the Y pipe

Yesterday I started 'er up in the morning and was greeted with a new sound - twice as much sound actually.
The Y-pipe has separated itself from the resonator assembly, about half-way down, such that the top half of the Y-pipe end is sending air through the bottom half of the resonator assembly. Some air comes out of the exhaust at the back but most of it is coming straight out underneath the driver seat where the Y-pipe ends.

1. While it's probably not in great taste, I like the sound. Would I be correct to say that if I drive around like this for a few weeks, it's probably alright for the car? I'm aware of carbon monoxide risks and won't be idling stand-still with windows closed or AC on like this lol

2. Assuming this isn't a terribly stupid idea, because I like the extra noise but don't want to drive a fartbox entirely ... I am somewhat mechanically inclined (I've done lots of suspension work) but not super handy, is there an easy way I could i.e. slap on a clamp in such a way that 20% or so is still leaking out and the rest is being sent into the exhaust system? Best of both worlds and a cheap "fix"?

3. Assuming I do get it fixed and don't try out my idea above... any recommendations on how to beef up the sound while keeping the car legal/sellable?
I've never looked at aftermarket mufflers before, but it would be nice if I could get another 10 decibels or so on top of the stock sound. I want to hear myself drive, but not stupidly loud like it is now.

Greatly appreciate any advice
Thanks
