Consistent exhaust diameter?

Hi guys,

Will going from 3 inch outlet (y pipe) to 2.75 inch inlet (midpipe) cause issues in terms of flow, rasp, etc?

Im piecing together a catback, already have tanabe midpipe and tanabe axleback, but y pipe doesnt fit because Im awd coupe.

Should I get an exhaust shop to just custom fabricate a y pipe that fits the inlet of midpipe?

Anu help would be appreciated.

If you have stock cats you shouldnt rasp. Thats a quality setup. Now if u had ebay parts for the mid and mufflers id say they same diam y would def help. In this case i think youll be fine. Now if you go hfc or test pipes youll probably rasp and a matching Y pipe would help cut it down.
