Cool Z1 Motorsports vs Tomei V2 headers

What's going on guys. I am in the market for shorty headers(Can't pass emission with Lth so please don't suggest). After numerous hours of researching, I have come to the conclusion that Z1 and Tomei V2 are the best available options for shorty headers other than your typical generic Stillen/DC/Ebay brands. With that said, which header is actually better? The Z1 has 1.75in primaries while the Tomei has 1.68in, they are both out of SS304, and they are both in the same price point $~900. IF you have one, or the other, or both installed, please comment below.

I can only offer the generalization that the narrower primaries will improve low and mid-range torque while the larger primaries will offer the highest horsepower though the advantage won't be all that great. Maybe 10HP?

How are you liking them? I am deciding between the two headers to go with E85.

Do you have to run DE test pipes or hfcs with the Tomei ones?

For both Z1 and Tomei, you have to run DE testpipes or hfc

I don't know which version Moncef has but he is running Tomei headers on his coupe. Maybe reach out to him and ask about his experience?

He has the V2, and he likes either or but didn't really point out which one specifically. After some more research and other references from people I am probably going for the Z1 just because it has bigger primaries and many people have gained well over 15-20whp with them.

Might be a stupid question but if you run the Z1 or Tomei Headers and use DE testpipes, can you use the rest of the catback for vhr and can the Y pipe be for vhr as well?

Yes you can run DE testpipes with VHR Y-pipe and exhaust.

Why would you open up the front end of the exhaust but keep the post-cat exhaust the tiny piping that is the OE?

I am running Tomei Y-pipe and Tomei single exit exhaust as well so I'm not sure what you mean.

Is VHR a brand of exhaust? I thought you were using it as a reference to the stock VQ37VHR engine (and exhaust).

Yes all I was referring to is that you can fit DE style headers and test pipes with VHR flange y-pipe and exhaust.
