If you're in a major metro area, there are stores that deal in nothing but fasteners. You'll be able to find grade 8 or better replacement bolts for half of what Infiniti wants.

 

so who parks next to u. did u pay them $20 to not come home? pretty nuts doing the job on ur own. so how u gonna get the trans back up?

I just left the tranny on the jack. I lowered it down and left it sitting there. After I re-install everything tomorrow, I'll just jack it back up, easy peasy!

It's actually almost a one person job. I just needed my gf to lower the jack for me while I held on to the tranny so it didn't fall (and actually I did basically do everything, since she couldn't figure out how to work the jack, so I ended up crawling out from under the car and lowering it myself. Luckily I had the tranny balanced almost perfectly so it came down no problem.)
