Muffler Delete = Power Loss?

So I recently picked up my 2014 q60, and have nothing done to it yet but my cousin has an 08 g37 coupe and he’s done a muffler delete to it and it sounds amazing!

I know the muffler delete is not the way to go but I currently don’t have the typa money for an exhaust but I still would like some typa aggressive noise. I do plan on getting an exhaust eventually though.

But my question is, if I get a muffler delete, would I lose any power? Or would the car not perform at it’s full potential? I ask this because I’ve read on some other forums/sites that you might or might not.

No power loss. No real gain, either.

That's hit or miss. Check the dyno sheet forum to see of anyone documented this mod.

No dyno sheet to show for it but we put a g37 coupe with muffler delete on a dyno. Did before and after runs. Lost 6 whp/10 lbs of torque.

Without pics it didn't happen. That's scientific method 101.
