i was getting a car from a dealership ( trading my g37x for the same year same model but black instead of gray and in good condition than how i got mine. they wanna trade in but i found another dealership with the same car as mine and cheaper than the first dealership. but the first one had a stillen intake system and an exhaust with purple ends. the car sounds way better than the stock and i was wondering if anyone knew what this exhaust is (or what it is close to) and also if its worth getting the one that already has them installed or if its cheaper to get the stock one from 3 thousand less than go through all the trouble. this might sound confusing but all im really looking for is it anyone knows what exhaust this is. it still has mufflers on them. ill try to add a picture.

 

Can only speculate without pics. Could be Ark or Motordyne among others that have burnt tips. It might not even be a full catback so check that out first. Either way I'd suggest you not base your decision solely on the aftermarket parts. You can get an aftermarket exhaust and intake installed for much less than $3k. Which is in better condition? Which has less miles? Check the Carfax and AutoCheck. GL!

 

Do the Ark performance exhaust tips do anything for the sound if its just the burnt tips

 

Motordyne, Invidia, are both blue tips

 

Just replacing the tips won't affect the sound or performance. I was saying it's also possible it's just the muffler but you'd have to check to know for certain. Sure having aftermarket parts that you like on it already is nice but I'd focus on the car itself.

 

alright thanks, and i looked some exhausts up, do u think a titanium axle back will give it a nice sound for 600 bucks (CAD) or would the catback be that much better for over 1000 dollars. Thanks!

 

That tends to be pretty subjective. One exhaust may be loud enough and sound perfect for you but another person might feel like it’s too quiet and not quite the tone they want. Check some videos on youtube with different exhaust setups and see which is the right one for you.
