Exhaust question

Hey guys might be a simple question but its been annoying me so just thought I'd ask- I have a meisterschaft catback with stock cats. Their mid-pipe has no resonators whatsoever. now for the first 5 minutes of driving anything above 3,000 rpms it sounds like a tin can! Unbelievable for a $3100 exhaust. Don't get me wrong once the exhaust is hot it's the best sounding exhaust for our cars IMO. So is this caused by there being resonators therefore the metal has to heat up? or do I have an exhaust leak? Any tips appreciated, can't even show anyone who asks at the meets what this exhaust truly sounds like. thanks!
