Well, just did an install 1' inch spacers. They are 3D printed, since they basically did not cost much, thought I will give it a try.
Quick butt dynotester observation:
Definitely more torque 2000-4000 rpms.
Not sure about top end, I might lost some, hard to tell because torque surges falls off on top...

 

Before my G, I had a 5.5 Gen Maxima, that I modified with phenolic intake spacers. Part of the sell was temp insulation so the aluminum intake didn't get as hot as normal, but mostly it was the change in the volume of air in the intake. Even untuned, it was an effective power add to the mid-range... for that engine, for that car.

Are you going to show before/after runs, or butt dyno only?

well, get the cheap ones from ebay. Afe wants way to much money for 2 chunks of aluminum. I need to take my car to the dyno one day, but is torque monster compared to stock form....

 

Ended up caving in and getting the afe spacers. I agree 2k-4k rpm range feels much better. Notice car revs a tad bit better. Slight whistle too. Definitely a little pricey for what they are though.

 

So have I have had the throttle body spacers on for like 2 months. Love the low key minor whistle, revs much better mid range. My butt dyno definitely feels the difference. BUT, chances are I'm taking them out. Clearance is a bi**h with the takeda intake. The angle is off and the intake tube refuses to stay put. I just ordered new couplers that have some flex to give it a final chance but yesterday my Cusco strut bar came before the couplers. I don't think I will be able to fit the strut bar along with the spacers still in there. If anyone wants them I'm going to sell them on here after. I'll know if they are going to make the cut today. If anyone is local in NJ might be interested pm me.

In reading the test details, the car is all stock BUT HAS A MUFFLER DELETE, so factor that in.

 

I am done with them. Taking them off today. Too much of a headache checking the intake coupler before and after every time i drive the car. NJ pick up $100. Drove 3,000 miles with them.

 

Not sure how couplers are on Takeda intakes but they fit fine on my 3.5" intake.

 

Where did you get the 3d printed spacer? does it seal with o-rings? 3d prints usually are not totally airtight.

 

the afe intake couplers are like 20% the size of yours that's why I'm having the issue with them holding on. They are trash there's barely any surface area to grab so whenever I'm under throttle they start slipping out. I ordered new couplers from maperformance.com I over did next day shipping so I should have them by Friday. What intake do you have?

 

No I ended up getting the afe ones. Has the gasket seal and everything. Its just the angle of the takeda tube and the small silicone coupler they supply doesn't have enough length for me to get a nice even seal because it's on an angle slightly.
