This is the info I was really looking for. Full bolt on, fully tuned car, both long tube CAI. Then swap intake and tune for the best on each one.

Would really love a video or some proof tho. And would be awesome if we had a reproduction on our cars.

3" intakes definitely make a difference. Guy's are putting 350~ whp with them on, which has never been done before. Currently having mine built right now and getting Jon @ Z1 to tune it. Also to address the water issue, I have been running gen 3's for one year with no splash shield in FL where it rains all summer long. They are always wet after it rains, but there's no water actually making its way up. As long as you don't floor it and cause the intake to suck up water its fine. It will mostly just wet the filters or if anything get burnt up in the intake.

^ Yep, it takes a lot more water to hydrolock your engine. Just be gentle when it's raining hard lol

Some great info guys! Looks like admin intakes is the winner here, although you can't go wrong with stillen either.

Just get admin intakes last since they require a tune to even drive.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. Not trying to be mr. Negative, but it’d have been better to buy a super charger. Eh too each their own!

Anyway the intakes sounds great!

To be fair, staying N/A saves a lot of headaches. But still a lot of cash to run, what, high 12s at best?

Maybe could have seen more hp with long tube headers? I would think that would be the best option for scavenging reasons. Topgunz posted on the 370 forum that he will be releasing a new s/c kit. Could be a great alternative choice to the big buck bolt on route.

I don't think that's indicative of anything.. I'm not arguing that more flow doesn't equal more power. But how much better is it compared to it's competitors? And is it worth upgrading if you already have something like gen3's. I've heard from 2 sources that it isn't. But no solid proof/comparison either way.

I really want this intake to be everything the tuner says it is. But all the tests/comparisons made by the tuner have been biased to show their product in the best of light.

It's like when an auto maker sponsors a showdown and the maker with the turbo car chooses a high altitude location to give their car the edge in performance over n/a cars.

I had to same thought as well. Makes me seriously wonder how much of the gains are attributed to the intake itself. What if they swap intake for gen3's with the right tune; I wonder what numbers that car would make.

And we have no baseline to compare to. We know that every dyno yields different results based on an number of factors.

And we're not even getting into potential downsides either; like how this may impact fuel economy.
