I have no idea about the price of that unit, but it sounds pretty typical for something that's made by a trustworthy company like Stillen

Piecing together an exhaust seems risky, so to speak, I know as long as you have the same diameter piping all around it shouldn't be a problem. I'm even looking at the J2 Racing cat back exhaust , its only $540....I can sell my HKS axle back and that'd pay for half

That's true, see this it the thing with Axlebacks, you get a taste of the exhaust mod bug and can't get enough LOL. That's exactly what happened to me, I wasn't satisfied with the Top Speed y -back and ended up getting art pipes and a y pipe too. Although you're right, because I was mixing and matching it took me a long time to get a setup I was satisfied with.
