So my takeaway is resonated Y pipe does/does not work on the VQ37 because of the shorter straight section leading to cats/test pipe. XYZ offers a resonated Y pipe for the G37 but in all reality that's nothing more than a Y with a resonated test pipe which I already have a FI RTP and that's why I'm here. You can use a resonated G35 Y pipe but not designed for the 37. If it fits and I'm desperate maybe I'll just try the G35 pipe, although this was on a sedan so how would it fit on a coupe I wonder? Site says it's out of stock anyways though so who knows its future

Since this thread got bumped.. update on my situation. I bought a cheapo ($90!!!) ebay 2.5" y pipe designed for the first gen G35 sedan to pair to my Top Speed exhaust + ART pipe combo, as I had a suspicion that my 3" y pipe was causing rasp because it was mismatched with the Top Speed diameter.
My original plan was to get the 2.5" and then weld a resonator or two in, and if it doesn't work then whatever, I'm only out around $150-200.. amazingly when I put the 2.5" in, 80% of the rasp went away!! Honestly, my exhaust setup now is 90% perfect after chasing after the ideal sound for 2 years. I could put a resonator in and clean up the last (small) amount of rasp, but I don't think it's necessary for that small amount.

Welds weren't that great, but who cares on a piece of pipe if it fixes your rasp.

this Y pipe is now discontinued....WTF ??!! tried to order it from 2 different companies. Orders went through they took my money only to tell me Agency has discontinued making these. So Im moving on looking at the ISR Ypipe...and ok...so much for that BS...tried ordering that....5 weeks to before shipping., Megan racing it is

I just tried ordering this for my G37 and their discontinued, why??...have no idea but was very disappointed when I found out
