FI coupe RHFC on a g37 sedan

Is the coupe version of fast intentions resonated high flow cats interchangeable with the sedan? What I know is the coupe version uses 2.5 inch piping and the sedan version uses 2.25 inch piping but I heard that the coupe rhfc can be used on the sedan without any issues. Is this true and are there any advantages and disadvantages to doing this? Thanks in advance!

Additional info: 2011 G37X sedan with stock exhaust

It will fit but you are going from 2.5'' piping to I think 2.25'' piping in your stock Y. There may be some added noise from the change in diameter but can't say for sure. From a performance standpoint, I'd say the down step in diameter is a negligible difference I wouldn't care about.

If you're getting a used set at a good price, I'd say go for it. If buying new, and plan on sticking to 2.25'' size piping, get the sedan version.

Somewhat in the opposite of what you're asking, I had the Sedan RHFC's installed for a year, matched to the OEM catback. Then I installed the FI catback configured with 2.5" pipes. The flange connections are identical. Bolt-on fitment wasn't an issue.

Glad to know it's a direct bolt on. So you now have the 2.25 inch piping rhfc bolted to the 2.5 inch piping FI catback? Any issues with that? I see that FI is one of the companies that do different piping for the sedan and coupe. From what I read, Berk HFC are 2.5 inch piping for the sedan and coupe.

That's correct, and none that I'm aware of. Been that way for over a year.

Car is a beast.
