Motordyne E370 Exhaust for AWD?

I am looking to get an xS coupe in the very near future and I'm looking into exhausts. From my understanding the Motordyne Shockwave E370 will not fit AWD models.

Has anyone modified it to fit an AWD? Also what is needed to make it work? I would hate to cut up such a nice exhaust but I love the sound of them and hate the fact that I can't have it along with AWD

Thanks

Yes many people do this all the time. In fact we get questions like this alot if it can be done. Answer is yes! Very simply. An exhaust shop or any shop that can weld can easily bend the piping.

Thank you!

Is it as simple as just bending the piping? Or is cutting and re-welding required as well? You would think Motordyne would just make a compatible version lol

It needs to be rewelded which is why you need an exhaust shop.

Any chance you have pics of a modified one? I'm curious how much is needed to be cut and rewelded.

Thank you

Here you go! This is my 2011 xS. Bought both the Motordyne catback and Berks HFC from JM. This was before the HFC though. This is what it looks like. However, I do not have a closeup picture of the weld. The weld costed me roughly $250 (including exhaust installing). Ironically, the shop had a bunch of pipes from a different Infiniti so it worked out perfectly.

As an edit: the shop I remember mentioning roughly about 12 inches. Can't remember the exact measurement for the cut though.

Thank You!!!!

So is the cut and reweld done roughly between the two V-band clamps? It is kinda hard to tell. It doesnt look like they used any new piping but I could be wrong?
