I can pick up an R2C CAI used for $300 with the black nickel finish. Should I offer $250 or is that considered low balling?
Also has anything changed since 2013, when these were bought, that a new set would have?

At some point last year they did come out with a new Filter, but the actual intake itself hasn't changed that I'm aware of.

New - R2C "Black Hex Series" Race/Street Conical Filters

As far as price goes...maybe figure out which filter it has on it first.

It has the standard filters, not the Black Hex. Is that a cosmetic update to the filter, or is there any functional advantage? I can't figure out how to order a new CAI with the black nickel finish with the hex filters. Their method of adding to the cart leaves much to be desired.

For instance, I don't see the black nickel finish at all, and I don't see a way to swap the normal filters for the Hex series...but I do see how to buy the hex series outright.

Get ahold of username ImportPartsPro he sold me my R2C's last year in black nickel. You can find him under the vendors forum. Or email/pm him.
