Um sure , again just talking from experience , Stock numbers were 273WHP ,went back with Gen 3's and catback car made 297 so guess those were made up ? Oh NO tune , after tune car made 298 WHP but pick up 15+ in the mid range .
No matter what the end number show there are gains made with the Gen 3's and the Takedas
Do your dyno with the hood shut. You will be suprised by what you get. Intakes make awesome power on paper and some noise but that's all they do. I've done dynos on multiple VQ cars with all kinds of intake setups and I can honestly say that the only "gains" you get can only be achieved in the shop with the hood open, not on the street.

I don't want to start a debate on this as its been beat to heck on here, But YES I do make runs with the hood shut. You hold water with short ram and those have actually lost WHP here as the suck in hot air being in the engine bay, The Takeda's and Gen 3's mind as well be completely outside the car, Open hood or not they make the same WHP as the do not receive any extra air from the hood open, The IM heat soak with the hood open or close maybe a different argument.

Most of my understanding of how intakes work come from tial and error with my former G35 coupe, there's also some usefull info here: Dynoing out the myth of Intake mods: The Results - G35Driver. Also when you replace dirty stock filter with brand new intakes you are bound to get some small improvement just because your new filter is, well, new.

All I'm saying is do not believe manufacturer claims but do your own research.

I am contemplating between:
1. AAM Competition S-LINE/R-LINE Cold Air Intakes

vs

2. Stillen Gen 3 Ultra long tube

another thought is just to leave it stock and drop in some knn or aam filters

any opinions...?

I personally went with the drop in ,I am extremely happy with the numbers I have, plus I dont have to worry about sucking in rain water as much

It comes down to, do you want noticeable(albeit small) change in power or not? If you do, then get the CAI(best with a tune). The drop-ins alone wont do anything for power.
