Or in my case, the salt shaker hiss on decel (between 2.5k and 1.5k). I know it's common for our engines but I just want to see how prevalent it is.

 

i got ART pipes with FI exhausts, and yes hiss is very noticeable.

 

I had the FI exhaust and FI resonated test pipes on the G and yes the hiss was very loud, specially on decel. I Have Morordyne with ART pipes now on the Z, and although I know it's there u can barely hear it. Definitely not as bad as my previous system.

 

All HFC will have this sound.

Z1 HFC's and hiss is not very loud at all but I have it, Does the H or X pipe have anything to do with the sound , I have a X pipe on my exoticspeed ?

 

I kind of like my hiss, it hisses on decel and then let's out a very deep pop that's not very noticeable unless you're like me. It sounds kinda cool. LOL

You know..... Come to think of it, that's not so much a hiss as a very deep sigh. IMO

 

Well, I've just been told this is normal for my setup so I don't know what to think right now.

I have FI Exhaust and HFC and it hisses when I decelerate but I like the crackle/pop it makes

 

Any resonators on your exhaust? Is your hiss as loud as mine? I have no crackle/pop on decel.

To the person who said no, what HFC's do you have and what exhaust is paired to it?

 

I have stock cats and FI exhaust and the hiss is very noticeable (which i don't mind at all).

In my case, I'm 100% sure the hiss comes from the FI x-pipe. Because I upgraded from the 1st gen magnaflow midsection to the new 18" res x-pipe. There were no hiss when I had the magnaflow.

 

My hiss is there. FI RHFC Beluga Catback. Not really loud but it's noticeable. Xyz resonated Y-pipe is on the way in hopes of taming it down a little.

 

Solidus, please report back with your findings because for some reason I don't think the resonated y pipe is going to help.
