So I'm ordering the fast intentions exhaust today and I'm kind of stuck on the resonator size. I want it to be loud, but it's going to be just the exhaust, not adding any HFC's or Test pipes because I live in Cali So what do you guys think I should go with 12', 18', or no resonators?

 

When I get the chance to get my FI CBE I'm going with 18" resonators. But this is due to the FI Long tube headers I have already gotten ordered and I've been told the headers make the car loud. So I'm going with the 18" to tone it down a bit. Like "Scotty don't" for those Austin powers fans. I'd go with the 12" if I were you. Just my opinion tho.

 

I was planning on getting no resonators, what would be the major difference between no resonators and 12' ones

 

hey G37FTW did you ever end up ordering the FI CBE? i'm asking because i'm too thinking of buying Fi CBE also looking at HFC's too and i live in cali too

 

If you want it to be Loud and your not adding anything other than exhaust, I would say no resonators would be the way to go. That's FI's loudest option according to their website.

 

If you want loud (well, just pertaining to the g37) go no resonators as I have the 12's and I'm looking for a bit more bite.

About to order FI exhaust for my sedan as well. Im in Cali so going to just get the CBE, no test or hfc's.

Mind asking what resonator you went with? I don't want any drone but want a nice deep tone.

Also did you go with 2.25 or 2.5 piping?

i went with 12 inch res, and i have a coupe so they come 2.5"

i think all sadans are 2.25
