Cold air intakes

Does the knn typhoon setup have good feedback or should I look in to the gen 3?

The Stillen gen 3's are better, IMO. I tuned the car with the K&N and switched to gen 3's

Ditto, Gen 3s. Search for the DIY install in this forum. Be warned though that it's a bit of a PITA if you DIY.

Nah, oscillating cutter and some adhesive backed weather stripping, no problems

I don't know a lot about cars and this intake was my first mod that I've done by myself and it was a pain but if I can do it anyone else can!

You can always make your own gen 3

Z1 post tubes
OEM MAF housing cut off of the OEM air box
2.5-2.5" straight coupling
2.5" piping, about 8"
2.5-2.5" 45 degree coupling
More 2.5" piping, about 7"
2.5-2.5" 90 degree coupling
More 2.5" piping, about 4"
2.5-3" reducer coupling
3" piping, about 3"
K&N filter same as stillin

About $200 or so spent. Silicone is better than all aluminium for coolness and where a coupling is, it's slightly bigger inside to run more air. Doubt it does anything power wise but I like it.

Looks good! With the silicone, you don't get the heat soak from the aluminum pipes. Probably runs more consistent in traffic, Gen 3 suck in traffic.
