Rock Auto

Has anyone made purchases from this online retailer?

I just got the Wix Air Filter 49362 and question the authenticity of it. Based on the external packaging it looks legit. However, when you open the package what is up with another barcode and part number?

Please view attached.

Thanks.

Rockauto is legit. Not sure about the barcode inside though. I got a pair of WIX filters from Amazon because it was actually less than rock auto, but I don't recall a different barcode inside.

Yep, Rockauto is the shiz, always go there first, and rarely buy anywhere else.

RockAuto is to car parts what NewEgg is to computer parts.

Rock Auto is a distributor so its quite reasonable to assume that they have in-house part numbers for specific vendors that are applicable only to RockAuto. They bulk purchase items and repackage them. There are lots of items that are not OEM or not name brand that can lead you astray though. In your case though I believe WIX changed the part number which is why you have one number on the outer package (the correct new number) and the older part number on the outer bag.
