FI CBE & RHFC Knocking

I just installed FI CF CBE with the RHFC.

Its only been 2 days, but underneath the car it starts to vibrate, rattle, knock make this noise like something is ready to fall out under the passanger side. And it makes the whole car shake basically. It this only happens when i stop or idle.

Im thinking it has to do with the cats. Its only after about 30 minutes of driving when it starts up, ill come to a hault and it begins. Until i press on the gas and then it goes away.

Havent installed new O2 sensors yet, i dont know if the heatshield was removed, or a brace of any kind.

Ive thrown a CEL light and a Check Engine Soon Light.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Any ideas?

I could be wrong but check the rear sway bars to see if it is touching the piping. Also remove the rear shield as instructed. Rattling sounds like it could be the rear shield on top right side of your muffler. Any knocking or rubbing, inspect the install to ensure clearance from anything it can be touching. When I had my exhaust I was slightly touching the rear sway bar with piping and had to make minor adjustments.

Well actually, the rears are fine. Nothing with the exhaust or anything in the back near the muffler. Its like right under your feet almost like it goes and vibrates towards the engine. Its so difficult to describe.

Hmm. Put it on a lift and see. I had the FI RHFC with FI full exhaust and never had a issue.

I recently put on FI RHFC and CBE. I have yet to have a CEL or service engine light. No rattle either.

Did you purchase everything used??

Did you have a shop install or did you install yourself?

You should not have any knocking or any CEL's go off what so ever. I would highly encourage, if you didn't, to take the exhaust to a shop and have it installed.

There is indeed a shield around the cats, and this is not used with aftermarket cats. The thing that is still leaving me in question, is the fact that you're throwing CEL's. This has got to be due to an exhaust leak, or some bad gaskets(which is why I asked if you purchased used)
