Air filter

I need new air filter is stock the best way to go for performance ?

OP - please try the search function. you will find endless opinions and info on air filters. sift through all the posts and decide what your priorities are.

IMO, the stock airbox is extremely efficient so i prefer changing my paper-type OE filter religiously. they go for about $8 online. no worries with cleaning of re-useable filters, oil on the MAF, heat soak of short-ram, or loss of low-end torque.

Bit of an investment, but they are washable and reusable.

It is the most cost-efficient way to do it. You could put K&N filters in, but the horsepower gain would only be noticeable through the placebo effect.
