R2C intake peeling

I bought the black nickel R2C intakes about 6 months ago. I was checking my oil today and noticed that the passenger side intake coating was peeling.

Has anyone had any similar experience? I'm going to e-mail R2C to see if they can do anything for me.

Thanks

Well I was about to try and get that exact system, but looks like I will go for the black PC. Hopefully no one on here has had any problems with that. Sorry it happened to your system hopefully they replace it for you.

I bought the intakes new, and did a lot of research before pulling the trigger. I never heard anyone else having these peeling issues so maybe this is a manufacturers defect.

I'll update if I hear anything. Otherwise I love the intakes!

YES everything has been taken care of thanks to Mike at Tunerzstore! Can't say enough about their service - good communication, quick replays. I will be getting a replacment intake shipped.

I have one that is under a year old and it's flaking/rusting. Contacted r2c about it and said they were performing "tests" and didn't seem too concerned abouty situation

Saw this old post came back up so I thought I'd add some follow-up. The replacement intakes look great, no hint of peeling. It may have been a bad batch?

Regardless, I'm completely satisfied with the intakes, despite that little hiccup.

Did you contact the vendor you purchased the intake from?

Why, because a small amount of these had issues....I can count on 1 hand how many issues I have dealt with on the Black Nickel and we have sold hundreds. Each time, R2C has taken care of each incident without any fuss.
