motordyne flex pipe leak

well i knew it was to good to be true. I finally got my ART pipes on my motordyne exhaust and it sounds amazing except for a leak while under load, and its coming from my flex pipes. i know its from scraping them everywhere but it still sucks. my question is it ok to replace them with just strait tubing welded in place or do I have to buy new flex pipes? thanks for your guys help.

Flex-pipe allows the exhaust system to bend when the engine torque. It's not a must, but if you place the flex-pipe with a solid pipe make sure that you also have solid engine mounts. If not your muffler system can crack or bend up, overtime, due to the engine flexing.

No, not for our G37's at the very least, unless it's a custom setup. There's a reason why exhausts utilizes flex-pipes as I had simply explained previously so if you're going to delete it do it at your own risk that is all.

If you're so worried about it being crushed again I suggest you change your driving habits

My system does not use flex pipes. I never had issues with mine with the previous 3 systems and the past few years running FI.
