Borla vs Meisterschaft Which One?

I've been doing some research here on MyG37 and I have found plenty of info. This forum is great! I'm about to get a 2012 G37S 6MT and was wondering what exhaust you guys think is better. Not a lot of people have the Meisterschaft and I love the way its sounds on a G37. But the Borla cat back does sounds just as good. What do you guys think?

These are like polar opposites as far as sound goes. If you want to also go with test pipes or high flow cats, do not go with Meisterschaft if you don't want to blow ear drums out. I know for the sedan the loudness is comparable to the GTR's sound FYI and that's with stock cats.

You gotta give us more info than that...what kind of sound are you hoping to get? How loud do you want it? Are you worried about rasp/drone? Without that info people are just going to give you their opinion, which could be the completely opposite of your taste.

For me, I would pick the Borla catback...but that's because I'm not a fan of the high pitched, raspy sound. I prefer something with a deep rumble. Also I've read that there is no drone or rasp with the Borla...that is if you keep everything else stock.

I'm looking for a higher pitched exhaust note. What do you guys think of the meisterschaft cat back and then adding vibrant resonators to tone it down a little.

In that case you definitely don't want the Borla catback.

Also to let you know, if you go with the full Meisterschaft it is going to run you $3000 FYI.

I got quoted 1400 for the rear section which isn't bad and the connecting pipes would be another 1000. 2400 isn't bad for an exotic exhaust system.

What qualifies it as being "exotic?"

Build quality and welds as well as sound. Meisterschaft is top notch even though it is made in Korea. Who cares? They make quality parts with quality materials.

The only thing "exotic" is the price.

For what you get, it should be priced no more than an HKS system, which in itself is far more exotic than the meisterschaft

Anyone with the Borla exhaust notice any drone at highway speeds?
