Thats EXACTLY what I wanted to hear!!! I don't expect any short term issues anyway. But 40K is a good measure. Thanks!

FYI: I never mentioned Hydro-locking... I think everyone ran with that LOL. But ANY water in your engine will degrade the oil and eventually contribute to something bad. But with regular oil changes, it should be just fine.

Now I have to decide which comes first, Still Gen 3 or IPL/Aero Front.... Hmmmm

So Wyldfyer, what did you end up getting? The IPL front or the Stillen CAI?

I get my Stillen intake on Wednesday and can't decide whether to install the plastic guard or not. Someone here had it installed and the shop stated that it wasn't necessary with the OEM grill.

I'll probably go ahead and install it anyways as it was built for a reason, right? And even if it's not necessary, it will probably extend the cleaning periods, as it protects the filters from dirt, bugs, and all that crap we get from the road....

kyle from Stillen chimed in on another similar thread and recommended that you do install the splash guard on both the G35 and G37 regardless of what grille you have.

I saw that too. I live in Oregon and had mine installed - never hesitated for a second.

Thanks XCoop, I caught it too at the other thread. I'm glad he confirmed the need for it, and will make sure I put it in.

Question I just bought replacement aem filters for my Gen 3 directly from Stillen. They send it with 2 holes in it for the bolts but I don’t have the bolts anymore. Can I still install it or will there be issues?

I would not run the filters like that. Something will eventually find it's way in not to mention no filtration in those areas

Aren't you the guy that was concerned about filters breaking your intake and now you want to run filters with holes in them? Lol... logic?
