i have googled this and have had no success i was told people on this forum would be able to help me out my mechanic told me its messing up the sensors that send the signal downstream and i need a c0 bypass sensor" was hoping someone on here woulsd be able to help me obviously i tried to google it and now im trying you guy's so if you can please help i would appreciate it
Your engine can not run without the O2 sensors installed (at least the upstream sensors), these are what complete the closed loop fuel control system in the ECU. If this "mechanic" friend of yours does not know this he is not really a mechanic... you either have to weld in O2 sensor bungs to intall the sensors in or better yet park the car and order/install either test pipes with bungs installed or better yet high flow cats since it is illegal to remove emission devices from new cars.

Agree with the post above and another one about the car is going to pop, headers, TP, Exhasut and no tune= LEAN and VQ BOOM.. park the car get HFC's or put you stock cats back on then save $500 and get a tune, Till then not WOT pulls for you. .:/

i am flipping out right now and nees some help.i got a magnaflow full exhaust and stillen headers for my 2008 g37s coupe.my friend who is a mechanice put it on and cut the caterlet converter and replaced it with a custom made down pipe so now its a straight exhaust.but my problem is the car is puttering when i drive it because the o2 sensors are now disconected and the computer i guess cant regulate how much air/fuel is going through "as you can see im not too smart when it comes to this" my mechanic said i need a o2 bypass sensor for it????? Does anyone know where online i can buy this or if this is even the real issue "thats what my friend the mechanic is telling me" please i need immediate help as i cant even drive my car now and im flipping out since i cant find anything online to by a o2 bypass sensor
tell your mechanice to put the caterlet converters back on!!!
