Your engine can not run without the O2 sensors installed (at least the upstream sensors), these are what complete the closed loop fuel control system in the ECU. If this "mechanic" friend of yours does not know this he is not really a mechanic... you either have to weld in O2 sensor bungs to intall the sensors in or better yet park the car and order/install either test pipes with bungs installed or better yet high flow cats since it is illegal to remove emission devices from new cars.

Agree with the post above and another one about the car is going to pop, headers, TP, Exhasut and no tune= LEAN and VQ BOOM.. park the car get HFC's or put you stock cats back on then save $500 and get a tune, Till then not WOT pulls for you. .:/
