R2C Vs Injen CAI

I have a set of R2C's right now, and i really like them, but im more into gains then just liking them. Would there be much of a power difference between the R2c shortrams and the Injen Long tube CAI? I mean if its like 1hp its not a big deal, but anything 5+ i would sell the r2cs and change to injens

opinions?

Get the stillen gen 3. IMO short ram intakes suck, I call them hot air intakes, in reality all there sucking in is hot air....

I think this is probably like the 100th thread about which intake is better....

read this thread and make a decision based on those two intakes instead:

There are more posts about the Injens getting water on the MAF sensors than should be. I'd stick with the R2cs or just get the Stillen Gen 3. The installation really wasn't that bad. Cutting the intake holes bigger was the hardest thing.

Then get injen with hydrosheilds. They both are cai, so power difference would be very minimal.

Waiting on ur sale lol =p

Did you read the thread I posted for you? Go to page 5 or 6 where I posted dyno results with mods and tune.... Stillen has the highest gain of any intake with R2C right behind it ... Not much difference in power on the dyno...

Injens are nice intakes and look great, but lately have been causing some issue in the rain... Hydro shields may help, but who knows... All intakes do about the same thing, just make sure you don't get ones that rob power. 1-3whp isn't going to make much of a difference on power of your car.

Also here's a thread from UCLAbruin... He made about 17whp, but for some reason that's sounds kinda exaggerated to me... I'm not sure what dyno he was using though.

The biggest difference is cotton gauze vs R2C media. Cotton Guaze would allow more air then R2C at the cost of less engine protection.. so figure it out.. which is more important for your daily driver...protection or 4hp if that post tune.
