Magnaflow Exhaust Rasp (W/Video)

So a few months ago, I bought an "open box special" Magnaflow exhaust from one of the board vendors. Ever since installing I've noticed a bit of a rasp when I get on the gas. Just last weekend, I installed a set of Berk HFCs and now the rasp is MUCH more noticable.

Here is a link to a video where you can hear the sound my exhaust makes.

YouTube - G37 Magnaflow rasp

Is there any way this is something other than the exhaust? I mean is there any way this sound is coming from the engine?

I wonder if Magnaflow will warranty the muffler even though I bought it at a big discount as an open box special...

It doesn't sound like you have a leak. Did you only swap out the mufflers? Maybe that's just the way they're supposed to sound?

I took it to a local shop today and the guy told me it sounded normal. I just bought an Invidia Gemini setup so I'll know soon enough if it's the exhaust.

This has been addressed so many times. The Magnaflow exhaust is a little raspy, but once you add high flow cats it gets worse and more prominent. The Invidia exhaust is very nice as long as it isn't the Q300 (that's even raspier).

my flex bellow is complete scraped off, both sides leaving a big hole and they don't sound like that.

Do you have HFCs installed? Mine didn't sound nearly this bad before I installed the Berks.
