Modding My Exhaust tuesday.

I have the magnaflow CBE with FI HFC that i turned into TP when the cats f**kd up on me. i am going to be adding two 3.5x16 resonators into the red circle area of my exhaust this comming tuesday since there is a little to much rasp now with the tp. I am also going to remove the flex joint in green to hopefully remove the infamous magnaflow buzz which gets quite annoying when paired with HFC or TP. If that doesnt work i will be having the CBE welded straight to the TP making it a Header back exhaust instead of a CBE. I was wondering how much of a difference will the resonators make. I know that it will be deeper, quiter and with less rasp but will it make a big or small difference. Any opinions, questions or ideas?

So i had it done today. removed flex added resonators. The sound is so clean nice deep growl no rasp and NO MAGNAFLOW BUZZ!!! I wish it was a little louder like it was before but i knew it was going to quiet down some but altogther i am satisfied. now for the pictures

fi hfc(old)

f'd up cat(old)

now tp(old)

tp installed(old)

x-pipe

full exhaust

flex pipe with part of x pipe cut off

3.5x16" resonator

finished

finished close up

So accord to the guy who did the work the buzz comes from a cheap flex pipe used by magnaflow that is ribbed inside which i guess causes the buzz when air goes over it

The type of flex pipe he recommended but i just wanted to get rid of it completely.

all the work was done by my buddy Steve at Cypress Mufflers on Lincoln ave. if you have any questions or comments feel free to ask. I hope this helped some people because i know there are a few people who have that buzzing problem.

do you have a light buzz noise when your rpms drop like around 2k? When had my hfc i loved the sound of my exhaust but theres a little to much rasp now with tp. i will let you know how it sounds on tuesday and hopefully but not likely try to post a video.

yeah there's a VERY slight buzz noise but I can barely hear it. I'm sure it probably got worse once you switched to test pipes.

btw how good does the magnaflow sound after you add hfcs?? is there a big difference than the stock cats?
