Best Bang for the buck is to pickup a used exhaust from a forum member. Otherwise You're asking for a flaming.

It is not like the G37 is a low production vehicle like the GTR, I don't think we should get taxed because the price of our vehicle.
R&D costs money you know

They will charge what people are willing to pay. Simple as that.

OMG prices for G37's are ridiculous! I don't care if its an Enzo, a Veyron, or a G37! They are all pieces of metal with 4 wheels and a motor!

See what I did there?

You get what you pay for. You want cheap, buy a magnaflow or an axle back like the tanabes. They'll change your sound from stock. If you want an exhaust that has some R&D (which takes time/money) then you will have to pay for it. You're paying for things like tig welds, 304 Stainless, x-pipe design, dyno tuning, resonator placement etc. If those words mean nothing to you then save the money and buy one of the more affordable options.

Its not like every exhaust on our car is 1800 dollars.
Go look at some of the options for the BMW 335.
Eisanmann mufflers (yes that's mufflers, as in no x pipe or mid pipe): $2,400
Supersprint complete catback exhaust: $3,400

check out Exhaust Depot. I don't have any of their products but the prices look very reasonable:

Our Exhaust is priced very reasonably, while maintaining and exceeding quality and fitment than most of the systems that are out right now. Seriously, I was able to see some of the exhaust first hand. I was even able to do a magnet test to see if they are truly T304 stainless steel. Do you know exactly what you paid for? Try it.

Yea I got what you did there.. you tried to make fun of what I said. It didn't really work all that great though, but its ok I still get what you were trying to express. I'm not a moron and I do not appreciate you trying to insult my intelligence. Here is the thing: Your being blinded, everyone.. Most of these exhausts are very simple to make, they don't take months to tests and some of them are even knock off's (with a couple things changed so they don't get a group of lawyers knocking at the door).. it's metal piping, a good welder, and a bender.. sure some of them are tuned for performance and can justify their prices, but if your not putting out amazing numbers, then you obviously didn't R&D and should not be expecting to charge the consumer the same price as someone who has. There has to be a way to design and produce an exhaust on par with the best at a cheaper price.

Stop whining about it now and just go make your own then.

We get what your original intent was in this thread...make fun of everyone, we are all sheep for overpaying for some bent up metal...super...great..we get it. Go make your amazing exhaust setup that will probably be much more amazing sounding and have 1000X more gains in it than what's out there and be half the price of even the magnaflow so you can make a different post to brag about it.

Thanks.

PS...FI FTW.

Then accuse us of insulting your intelligence. Only one insulting your intelligence is yourself and I'm sorry for saying that. I'm not saying months of R&D are spent but there sure is quite some R&D to get an exhaust to sound the way it does, reduce in cabin noise, generate backpressure that is just right. There's a reason some setups use x-pipes vs y-pipes vs h-pipes. FI just recently redesigned their x-pipe for a reason Quality control also comes into play. It might be easy to make 1 exhaust perfect. But to make every single one of them perfect? That costs money.

I'd love to see you make your own exhaust and write a review for us, quite a few members have done it already and they enjoy them.

As a staff member on a forum, I think it is both pathetic and immature for you to try to make another forum member, one who is always on here to help people, try to look stupid for his statements. A forum is a place for discussion. In a topic like this it is a matter of opinion. You have no idea of my background, my wealth, or my knowledge on tuning cars (not that im bragging about any of them). The original point of this thread was to find what other forum members thought was the best exhaust for the price.

Once a final exhaust is made, USUALLY all measurements are taken (angels, length, etc etc) and then they make a jig and at that point it becomes very simple to mass produce a setup. The people that are in charge of making these systems have great knowledge and yes there is some R&D and testing involved, but I do not think it is to the point where most of you think. I dont really care about price if the product is well worth it. I just wanted to know whats the best sounding one for the money..
